Vita-Mix Featured on Montel Williams - Plus Win a Vita-Mix!

Montel loves his green smoothies!

Montel Williams...a Liquidarian?

It has been no secret that Montel Williams is on our side. He's into raw food!

Montel Williams has been on television for 15 years as well as written multiple books. He has accomplished so much, and yet he has been living with symptoms of Multiple Scerlosis for over 20 years.

Recently, Montel has written a book called Living Well. In this best-selling book, he talks about healthy eating and even includes raw food in the form of green drinks, green juices and green smoothies.

Last week was "Living Well Week" on his show. On two particular shows, which aired last week, Montel disclosed that he consumes up to 75 percent of his daily caloric intake in the form of liquids and blended foods. In addition, he clued the audience in on how he loves to make smoothies with coconut water. At one point he mentions that he eats about 64 oz. of juice or soups per day.

Montel is a near-liquidarian!

Montel Williams Thinks Everyone Should own a Vita-Mix and Eat Green Smoothies!

On last Thursday's show, Montel brought out a Vita-Mix, and said that everyone "needs to get one of "these bad boys". Later, Montel said that "the VitaMix is an investment in your future."

On the show we met Karen, a single mom and her two adorable kids. Karen is to busy to make food for herself and her kids. She confessed that everything she makes in her kitchen takes 10 minutes or less, and most of it is frozen and heated in the microwave. Otherwise they go out for fast food. Her staples are Eggo waffles for breakfast, macaroni and cheese for lunch, and fish sticks for dinner.

Montel showed this family that making a green smoothie can be easy and nutritious, and fast!

Montel made them a fruit smoothie with two giant handfuls of spinach! The big question. Did the kids like it?

Even though they were skeptical, both kids liked it. Even Karen the mom liked it. A member of the audience was really skeptical that a green smoothie could taste good. Montel gave her a sip, and she changed her mind.

And the entire audience changed their mind when they found out that they were all going home with a Vita-Mix Super 5200!

Montel is once again changing the world, one person, and one smoothie at a time.

I want one so bad! I started drinking green smoothies last week Wednesday and am in complete love. My 2 and 3 year old are in love and even my husband who was poking fun at me requests them when he's home.

Thanks for that information! I signed up for Montel's drawing...my fingers are crossed.
So...what will you two do with your old Vita Mix (I saw in an earlier entry you got a new one)? If it's looking for a new home, I will give it much love ;-)
Thanks for your great blog!
Love,
Melissa

Ha, good question!

Actually, we gave it to Justin's parents. That way, they have a VitaMix and we can use one when we are over there!

I need a new blender and was thinking of buying a vitamix. But the jar is made of plastic which contains BisphenolA and even though I don't use it on hot things, I will use it with acidic liquids like lemon. So I will find another blender with glass jar. Since I live in France I have found a safe alternative from robusta.fr Mix'Chef.
