Parasite-Free Formula Review [Raw Product Review]

Markus Rothkranz's New Body Force Product Parasite-Free Formula Review
Markus Rothkranz Wants You Worm Free!

In 2007, we introduced you to Markus Rothkranz, an amazing man who shocked the raw food world with his incredible raw tour video. There was a lot of buzz about his video after we posted about it and a lot of people were wondering, "Who is this guy?!".

Since then, we've been in regular contact with Markus to keep up on what he's got planned for all of us. After blowing away the crowds at Raw Spirit Festival, Markus hasn't stopped for one second working on bringing his message of superior health to the world.

A lot of people are contacting us and asking about Markus because they are still not sure what he's all about and what to think about him. We've both spoken to Markus on the phone personally and we feel part of our job is to report to you what the real deal is about him.

Markus is a very passionate person. He has an incredible love for people and humanity and beneath his lovely over-the-top bravado is a man who is deeply and sincerely committed to serving humanity in what he believes is the best way possible.

His goal is to ensure that every person on this planet will wake up, take charge of their lives, find true love and have an unbridled affair with humanity in order to reach our highest potential in this millennium.

This guy is serious. Intensely serious.

And that is one of the greatest things that makes him so awesome.

So since Markus isn't going away anytime soon, we're going to report to you what's going on with this fascinating guy.

Markus is Constantly Working.

Recently, Markus quietly released a powerful anti-parasite herbal formula through his new raw and herbal product company, Body Force.

Just Another Parasite Formula? Nope. This one is Strong.

For anyone familiar with anti-parasite formulas out there, most of them contain some combination of the standard anti-parasite herbs wormwood, black walnut, and clove (popular formulas include
Parastroy and Healthforce's Internal Parasite Formula). While these are known for their powerful effects, there are a lot more potential ingredients out there that could go into a parasite formula...and Markus's formula has them all.

He's done his homework. We've never seen such a complete formula out there. Check out the ingredient list here: Parasite-Free by Body Force.

What we love about this formula, is that Markus just doesn't list the ingredients for you on a bottle, he goes into detail about what each herb does. He wants you to be educated and empowered about what you're putting into your body. Kudos to that.

How Does it Compare?

I (Justin) was doing a standard herbal parasite cleanse of wormwood, black walnut, and clove when Markus contacted us about sending us a sample to review for you.

In the middle of my cleanse, I started on Markus's formula so I could test it out for you. What I noticed right away was a very stimulating effect from the capsules. This formula is powerful. At first, I was a little concerned that it might be too much for my body to handle at the time, but after a few days on it, my body slowly got used to the formula and I could tell that the herbs were working more gently on me.

I can't say I've had any big parasites "come out of me", but that's a rare occurrence from the research I've done. Mostly, it's the smaller, "invisible" little-guys you want to be targeting your formulas on.

After being on a parasite cleanse of my own design, and then subbing in Markus's formula for about 30 or so days, I could feel a cloud being lifted from my mind. I am sleeping better, and I'm feeling a more positive attitude towards life in general. My energy has stabilized a little more and I've lost another couple pounds in my stomach area.

Oh, and no, I didn't stay on a perfect anti-parasite diet the whole time. You guys know I'm not a raw extremist, but there's always more room for cleansing and improving your diet any time you can. I'm a big believer in knowledge, application, testing, and refinement when I comes to diet.

Disclaimer: There's definitely a lot of crazy information out there about parasites and parasite formulas. It's tough to know who to believe and what's really going on inside of you. If you feel you are suffering from some sort of parasite issues, it's always best to visit your doctor and get a professional medical opinion.

Our verdict? Body Force is a Quality Formula.

Definitely a quality formula, in our opinion. We would even consider doing a full cleanse with the recommended three bottles (90-100 days) of this formula. If this is any indication of what Body Force will bring to the market, we are both eagerly awaiting Markus's upcoming products and formulations.

What's Next for Body Force?

We want to stress this again: Markus is the real deal. This guy is committed and sincere...and we find that refreshing and inspiring. While we consider Markus our friend, you know our reviews are honest and if we found any product not up to our standards, we'd let you know.

With that said, it is difficult to give an honest review of a product like an anti-parasite formula because results vary from individual to individual. We can't really give you any concrete evidence that anything spectacular happened, but with the way the body works, many of you know that you may not see any direct physical results and need to interpret them in the way you feel. And during Justin's trial of this product, he did feel better afterwards.

To get a feel for what this whole "parasite" thing is all about, go check out Markus's "fun" website about parasites here: NastyParasites.com (**WARNING** Graphic Content!)

If you feel called to try a parasite cleanse, and want one that ia relatively easy, Body Force Parasite Cleanse is one worth looking into.

Getting a Food Processor for Cheap [Saving Money Series]

Get a food processor for cheap!
Food Processors are All Around You!

This is Part 2 of our Saving Money Eating Raw series of posts and today we're going to talk about the not-so elusive food processor.

In the world of raw foods, a lot of the recipes you come across will tell you to use a "food processor fitted with the S-blade." If you're a raw newbie, this might seem a little unusual. You might think like we did when we were reading our first raw food books and think, "Boy, raw foodists sure do love their food processors!"

Before we went raw, we thought food processors were infomercial "treasures" that you really didn't need. After all, how often have you ever used on before going raw?

Either way, you will quickly learn how insanely useful this thing is. Really, it's got one function that you are going to use it 99% of the time form: S-blade choppin'.

We're not going to get into the specifics of a food processor today, so instead let's get down to business and talk about how food processors are all around you...

Don't Look Now, but There's a Food Processor Sneaking Up Behind You

Once you know what these things are, it seems like you can never get away from them. And that's good news for raw newbies and those looking to save money on the raw food path.

We're going to illustrate this point with a little story...

A few years ago after we'd been raw for a while, we started noticing food processors everywhere. They'd be at every garage sale, every thrift store, every Goodwill, and not only that, but every kitchen seemed to have one...buried.

Justin's parents do not like to cook. In fact, both of them pretty much dislike it. Let's just say that most of their kitchen equipment is still around from their wedding day! (And they got married young...yeesh!)

We were talking one day a few years ago about the abundance of these little miracles that everyone has but no one seems to use. While merrily joking about this little fact, and we both wondered...do my parent's have one? We both thought it would be hilarious to go find out if my parent's kitchen actually had a food processor. Justin had lived with them for a good chunk of his life and never saw one...in the kitchen or otherwise.

Next time we were over there, we couldn't hold our laughter in and asked Justin's Mom, "Say, do you guys have a food processor?"

"Nope. Wait...I think we do!" Justin's Mom exclaimed, puzzled.

Sure enough, there was a small, unused food processor buried underneath some junk in one of the lower cabinets of the kitchen!

There are people around you that have food processors and they don't even know it.

You Don't Need a Super Food Processor

So let that little story prove to you that there is no excuse not to own one of this little things. They can literally be found everywhere, and if not for free from a relative or friend who doesn't use one, you can get one for pennies on the dollar.

Here's a secret tip: You don't need a super, high-cup food processor if you're starting out.

Don't let those raw cookbooks scare you, you aren't going to need the $125 model if you're just starting out.

After years of experience, even a very small one can do most of what you need, but you'll eventually want to settle on a medium sized model for most of your needs. Medium sized meaning 7 cup size. And this size can be found just as easily as the little ones.

If you've been putting off buying a food processor or going raw because you think this equipment is "expensive", now you know better.

Here is an action plan for you to follow, and you'll go from zero to food processor within a week:

  1. Go to your parent's house and ask them first. You'll probably score here. When you find it buried in the back of a kitchen cabinet, ask them if you can have it. 99.999% they will say yes.

  2. If not, check any of your relatives or friends. Most of them will be happy to just give it to you. Free. With hugs of gratitude that you are helping them de-clutter their home. You can mention how it's just cluttering their kitchen up!

  3. Goodwill, thrift stores, yard sales, etc. You can get them here for dirt cheap. $5-$30 easily. Just make sure the S-blade isn't broken, chipped or dull. Most of the ones we have seen have been unused, new, without a box!

  4. eBay and Craigslist are good places to go next. There will be quite a variety on these sites, with brand new ones without boxes, to some that are being sold because people are moving, or they have a white food processor and now all their other appliances are black and they bought a black one to match. Look around and soon enough you'll find a good deal.

  5. Give up? Go to a store and just buy one, just start with something that fits your budget. We bought our food processor at some big box store and we have it to this day, 5 years later. It's just started to act a little worn out...after 5 years of raw food use. That's a lot of use!
After you learn how to use one and make batches of flax crackers, crusts for pies, and a ton of other useful raw staples, you'll know better which size you will personally use the most. We currently have a 7 cup model, but because we like to make bigger batches of things we'll probably buy an 11 cup next time.

If you have a family or if you like to make lots of food at one time, we would recommend an 11 cup processor, but remember that they are usually more expensive than an 7 cup food processor.

Super cheap idea:

If you are desperate to save money but still want a food processor, there are very small 2 cup food processors out there. These can cost as little as
20 dollars brand new. We've seen them in some kitchens of people who are experimenting with raw food but haven't taken the full plunge yet.

If you just want to try some pate' recipes but don't want to invest in a larger processor, try a mini-processor. Just keep in mind that these mini-processors are not as strong as the big boys. They work better with liquid ingredients, and grinding things like flax seeds, but their motors are not heavy duty.

Some experienced raw food people have a mini-processor for small everyday tasks, and a larger one for heavy duty uncooking. You'll just have to figure out what works best for you.

Next time in this saving money series:

We'll dive into more kitchen equipment that you can score for less than you think.

Raw Food and Alcohol: Do They Mix? [Raw Magazine Article]

Heidi Ohlander writes about raw foodists and alcohol in the Winter 2008 issue of Get Fresh MagazineGet Fresh! Winter Issue

When Get Fresh editor Sarah Best asked me a few months ago to write about my personal thoughts about raw foodists and alcohol for the Winter issue of Get Fresh Magazine, I was excited to share what I have learned about alcohol with others. Sarah told me that it was going to be done in a "point/counter-point" style, and that in a way, I would be holding the "pro-alcohol" stance.

After I wrote the article and everything was ready for print, I casually asked Sarah who the other side of the argument would be. She wrote back with the answer - Dr. Doug Graham!!!

While I don't have Dr. Graham's permission to reprint his counter-point, I decided to share my helpful article with everyone, so even if you don't have a subscription to Get Fresh! Magazine, you might want to consider it!

Here is the article in it's entirety. For more info on Get Fresh, click here.

JUST ONE DRINK?
For optimum health, is it necessary to swear off alcohol for life, or is it okay to "indulge" occassionally?

So many experts in the raw food world talk a lot about what not to eat or drink. With all the different "rules" that are put out there, a lot of fear can go into our decisions about what's truly healthy for us to consume. When you bring alcoholic beverages into the debate, all hell can break loose.

I'm not going to argue that alcohol is healthy and should be consumed every day like those strange reports that say you should drink a glass of red wine for your heart. That's ridiculous, and you know it. I'm not going to say that everything is good in moderation, because a little bit of arsenic isn't good in moderation.

I'm not like all the other experts out there. My mission in the raw food community is to offer multiple options from my own personal research and experience. I want you to make the choice that is right for you. I have recieved countless emails from people who have gone raw, telling me that they want to drink alcohol once in awhile, especially during the holidays, but they don't know what to drink.

Here's the deal: no matter if you just found out about raw food last week or if you have been raw for the last decade, if you want to have an alcoholic beverage, you are the one that is going to make that choice.

Your choices for drinking may be personal. Perhaps you are seeing friends from college that you haven't seen in a long time and just for tonight, you want to seem "normal". Maybe you are going to your sister's wedding and you want a glass to celebrate during the toast. It might be your birthday, and tonight, you are going to have a glass of wine, no matter what your favorite raw guru says to the contrary!

No matter what the occasion, you have decided that you want something do drink, and I don't mean water with lemon. So, you've listened to the experts and you've made the choice: you're drinking.

Here are a few important distinctions when it comes to alcohol and raw food:

  • Go for organic and biodynamic whenever possible. It is amazing how many new choices are out there for wine and spirits.

  • Hard alcohol has been distilled, meaning it was boiled. It is not raw. You may be able to drink hard liquour now that you are raw, but your tolerance will have changed! Personally I have found that I cannot tolerate any hard alcohol - it is too strong for me. If you decide to go with hard alcohol, choose a cocktail and sip it slowly. If I had to choose one hard alcohol, it would be organic grain vodka.

  • Wines tend to be the easiest for most raw foodists to consume.

Fun Fact: White wine and champange tend to be easier on raw foodists than deep red wines, possibly due to lighter alcohol content and lower sulphite content.

  • I realize that during the holidays there are parties at clubs and pubs. If you choose to drink at these public places, realize that your organic, no-sulphite alcohol choices might not be available. Look at the options, and choose the best option for you. And try to have a good time!

  • Whatever you drink, just say no to beer. According to the research out there, modern beer is probably one of the most dangerous beverages you can drink. It has oestrogenic properties, causes acidic symptoms, and is very toxic to the liver. I have known multiple raw foodists who used to love beer, but when they went raw and they tried a sip of beer, it was intolerable. Try it if you must, but don't say I didn't warn you!

  • No matter what beverage you choose, drink lots of water! It is so easy to become dehydrated from drinking alcohol. The classic rule is to drink one glass of water for every alcoholic beverage you consume. For those eating high-raw diets I recomend two glasses of water for every alcoholic beverage.

You've probably heard this before, but it is true: the more raw you are, the "lighter" you are. This affects not just weight but also sensitivity. Lighter constitution means lower alcohol tolerance. Knowing this can make all the difference between enjoying a cocktail with friends, and puking your brains out because you had too much. Listen to your body. Keep aware of the entire experience while consuming alcohol.

I have found my experiments with alcohol after going raw have been some of the most fascinating experiments during my raw food journey. Before going raw I used to drink with friends on the weekends. Now I might have a glass of wine or champagne once or twice a year.

I know what I can drink, what I can't drink, how much I can tolerate, and the effects afterwards.

And with time you can too. You can experiment for yourself and find what works for you.

One final important tip: Raw foodists (or anyone) should not drink and drive. It takes a small amount of alcohol to be legally intoxicated, especially for raw men and women. As a general rule, if I choose to drink, I refuse to drive. Even if it is "just a little bit".

That way it is safe for everyone.

Here's a quick recap:

  • Find a drink that works for you.
  • Wine tends to be the best for raw foodists, especially white wine.
  • Drink small amounts.
  • Drink 2 glasses of water with each drink.
  • Don't drink and drive.
  • Have fun!

Elements for Life [Raw Product Review]

Elements for Life: A new Superfoods Distribution Company
Elements for Life: A New Superfood Company Disguised as an MLM

When we first heard of the new superfoods distribution company, Elements for Life (EFL), we were very hesitant. After all, the company has structured itself as an MLM (multi-level marketing) type of distribution company, which is a turn-off for a lot of people who have been burned by MLM companies in the past or who don't like potential pushy salespeople.

After being approached by about 15 or so people who pushed us to join the Elements for Life MLM in an overbearing fashion, we were even more turned off, to say the least. These people who approached us had no interest in building a relationship with us. A pushy "Sign up with me!" is not a very good sales approach. They had no idea who we were, no idea that we've been raw for 5 years, they didn't even know anything about our blog. They just knew we hadn't joined yet, so that must mean we didn't know about Elements for Life, but they were wrong. We've known about it since it first went live - but it just didn't seem like our kind of thing, so we kept quiet.

So we put EFL on the back-burner for a while and decided to keep our distance watching it unfold...hoping that this company wouldn't split the raw food movement into two segments: one for EFL and one against it. We don't want raw food factions out there.

Finally, we were approached by one man who could break through our resistance and connect to us as a real person should. At that point, we softened our view on the company, were sent some products to review, and are excited to share our thoughts with you.

Instead of EFL becoming a sticking point in the raw food world, we hope that we can solve that potential raw food faction problem with this review...read on...

MLMs Aren't Evil, But People Can Be

After watching EFL for several months quietly from the sidelines, we started slowly opening up to the idea of having a superfood MLM as part of our overall raw food community.

In fact, it took a particular person to contact us and build a real relationship with us before we were able to look past our MLM prejudice and take a fresh, new look at the company and it's values and goals from a new perspective.

Let's face it, MLMs might not be for everyone, and it's possible that certain EFL distributors may offend some people. We've already talked to countless people "way up" in the raw foods chain and other "average raw folk" that have been completely and disgustedly turned off from EFL because of some overbearing and pushy new EFL distributor. These people have turned these people off so much to EFL, that irreparable damage may have been done. We can tell that there are people who have turned away from raw foods and superfoods due to negative experiences with pushy people. We have heard directly from these people, this is no joke.

We're going to briefly state this: if you are an EFL distributor or thinking of becoming one, please read some classic books on sales, marketing, and social communication before starting to sell these products.

You will tarnish your name, EFL's name, superfoods, and the raw community if you sell these products incorrectly. There is no maybe. You will hurt other people and turn them away if you don't handle yourself with honesty and integrity.

With that said, let us also say this: if done right there are quite a few benefits to this type of business structure for the raw and superfoods community.

Enough talk, let's get down to business...

What About the Actual Products?

The main benefits to EFL for those already experienced in eating superfoods, is that EFL has some exclusive products that can't be bought anywhere else that make the company a viable force in the raw food and superfood world.

After eating superfoods for a few years, we've learned quite a bit about how to work with them. It's quite a different experience than working with something like cucumbers and apples.

Superfoods require a little more education and experience to use effectively. Not only do you need to educate yourself about what each superfood does inside of your body, but you need to take it at least a few times for your body to understand how to utilize it.

Superfoods are designed for those who have learned to really listen to their bodies. Once you understand the difference between a craving and a true desire from your body, you will be able to more effectively utilize superfoods to your advantage.

Now that we've got that caveat out of the way, let's go on to the actual food part of the EFL superfoods review.

Elements for Life sent Heidi and JS Ohlander from Raw Food Right Now a variety of products to review including cacao goji berries maca and moreOur Elements for Life Care Package sent by Liran

Gold Rush:

An exclusive product. When we first heard of EFL, we saw them pushing a product called Gold Rush as one of their premiere, exclusive products. We've known for quite awhile about various "gold" products out there, but we didn't know much about EFL's gold product.

We will let EFL co-founder Chad Ashley Vandenberg talk about out how colloidal gold helped save him from becoming crippled the rest of his life in this powerful testimonial video for Gold Rush. It's pretty amazing to learn about his journey.

Our personal experience with taking an entire bottle of Gold Rush was pretty powerful. We were skeptical at first, but after taking it every day for about a week or so each, we noticed some acute improvements in our mental functioning and overall sense of well-being and connection to our spiritual source.

We haven't purchased any more Gold Rush, but we plan to in the future, and experiment with it further, specifically with experimenting with Gold Rush and lucid dreaming.

Immune Detox:

Immune detox is a zeolite product, much like Natural Cellular Defense. If you aren't familiar with zeolites, they are a naturally occurring volcanic substance that are able to remove heavy metals, pesticides, and a host of other environmental toxins safely from the body.

The Immune Detox product appears to be a re-labeled bottle of Super-Z-Lite from Omica Health. We've both noticed significant benefits from consuming Immune Detox and Omica's Super-Z-Lite. We like interchanging which Zeolite product we use on a daily basis.

One more thing: this is a liquid zeolite product, not a powder. Read up on liquid zeolites to find out why suspended zeolites in liquid form are more easily utilized by the body than the powdered stuff. If you're interested, we can do more in depth posts on zeolites in the future.

Cacao Nibs:

These are much like your basic cacao nibs, but the "cut" on them is a little larger than most nibs you will run across. These are great nibs for eating straight. The quality is absolutely incredible as well. We've had a lot of nibs over the years, and you can tell a bad one from a good one in a single bite.

These are awesome nibs, we love them. Very high quality, even nicer than some of the Sunfood Cacao Nibs we've had in the past.

Cacao Powder:

Near perfect quality, if not perfect. This is the ideal cacao powder for those who know what good cacao powder is. The best aspect of EFL's cacao powder is that it tends to be a darker, richer quality than even Sunfood's, in our experience. This powder will go a lot further since you need a lot less for your smoothies, drinks, and chocolates. This cacao powder is dark and rich with a complex flavor and creamy powdery texture. Highly recommended.

Cordyceps:

For those not familiar with medicinal mushrooms, cordyceps is considered a Chinese longevity mushroom that used to be prized for its rarity and has an incredible host of benefits. We won't get into the details of cordyceps in this post. We have been using other medicinal mushrooms for the past 6 months, but this was our first pure cordyceps experience, so we can't vouch for the quality compared to other brands.

However, the benefits we received from throwing this product into smoothies definitely follows the classic benefits as laid out in most Chinese medicinal texts that talk about the power of cordyceps. Ounce for ounce, the price is much better than most capsule versions of cordyceps that we've seen on the 'net. This is actually a great value with an excellent quality.

Also worth noting is that we have heard that the cordyceps are made using vegetarian procedures, something that is quite uncommon in typical cordyceps production.

Goji Berries:

We'll be straight with you: the goji berries were perfect. The taste, the size, the color, the moisture, texture, the softness...everything.

The ultimate test for goji berries, however, is a batch per batch consistency. We've had multiple batches from the same place, with very different results. We've only had one batch from EFL, so we can't vouch for their consistency of quality.

However, from what we have heard from EFL members is that the goji berries have been extremely consistently high quality batch for batch.

If you love goji berries, they seem to have an excellent source.

ReVitaPhi:

Oh man, we LOVE products created by Jameth Sheridan over at Healthforce Nutritionals. ReVitaPhi is his latest creation. We especially love ReVitaPhi because it's an excellent mix between a more dense green superfood powder like Vitamineral Green, and a more herby mix like Roots Magic Elixir. ReVitaPhi works great in both green smoothies or superfood smoothies or elixirs. We absolutely love it and a little goes a long way.

Right now, this is another exclusive EFL product and is another reason to place some orders with EFL on a regular basis. If you like Vitamineral Green, you will probably love ReVitaPhi.

Island Fire Noni:

Island Fire by Elements For Life Reviewed by Heidi and JS Ohlander for Raw Food Right NowTaste the Experience.......

Have you tried Noni? It's kind of a buzz superfood lately; even mainstream news has mentioned it. But getting high quality Noni can be very difficult to find on the mainland or in other countries. That's where Elements for Life comes in.

If you've never tried Noni juice (more like a fermented "wine"), then you're in for a "treat". This Island Fire stuff is powerful, and tastes terrible to most people. This is the first Noni product either of us have ever had, and yes, it does live up to its name. But if you've ever looked into the benefits of noni, even a small shot of this stuff can do you some major good...if you can get it down.

The first night we tried it, Heidi was feeling particularly low in energy, which is rare for her. We decided to take a shot of Island Fire and see what happens. Immediately after drinking 1-2 ounces of Island Fire, Heidi had immediate energy, which shocked both of us! Oh, and the taste is out of this world...maybe in a good way, maybe not.

Seriously though, after trying this for a few weeks in a row, we definitely got used to the flavor. Heidi loves the taste, but Justin still makes a funny face when taking a shot.

You have to try it at least once. We'll leave out the flavor description in this post and let you try it for yourself for the first time...

We will say this: it is an "experience".

Golden Inca Berries:

When we first bit into these, we were expecting an incredibly tart, sour flavor. With the other golden berries we've tried before, we either had a very sour batch, or had a source that is of a regular sour consistency.

The Incan berries from EFL are still sour, but have a fabulous sweet undertone that rounds out the flavor and makes them excellent for munching with some goji berries. These also work great in smoothies and teas.

Very high quality. If you want sweet AND tangy Incan berries, these are the ones to buy.

Marine Phytoplankton:

What can we say about marine phytoplankton? We're not going to dive into the benefits of this absolutely incredible newcomer to the raw food world, we'll leave that research up to you. Look it up and read up on it.

This marine phytoplankton appears to be from the same source as Ocean's Alive Marine Phytoplankton and is just a re-branded bottle. But don't let that fool you, Ocean's Alive is the marine phytoplankton to get.

Goes great under the tongue if you can handle it, in water is even better. Start with one drop, work your way up to 15 drops or so.

Once again, similar to Island Fire, Marine Phytoplankton is an "experience". Totally wild.

Blue Green Algae:

Blue Green Algae is an excellent source of nutrition, and can be added to superfood smoothies, or even green smoothies. Tastes great with Vitamineral Green too.

Best of all? It sparkles!

Blue Green Alage from Elements for Life reviewed by Heidi and JS Ohlander for Raw Food Right NowSparkles!

We took over a dozen photos to try to capture the brilliance of this blue-green algae. This photo is the best we could create, but doesn't do it justice. When you eat it, it feels like you are eating fairy dust! This product is a great example of how raw food can be nutritious AND fun.

Excellent quality. Highly recommended by both of us.

Maca Powder:

EFL sells an excellent, full-bodied and flavorful maca. Top-notch and very high quality. Recommended by both of us very highly.

If you have tried a few different brands of maca, you may notice that there is a wide range of quality. This batch of maca that we recieved from Elements for Life is very comparable to Sunfood Nutrition or Matt Monarch's over at The Raw Food World. High quality. Very tasty.

In fact we've noticed that we've been using more maca lately thanks to this batch of maca powder.

Other EFL Products:

There are a few other products that EFL carries right now that we didn't get a chance to try:

  • cacao beans with fruit
  • sacha inchi oil

  • any of the music/books/movies/etc. available on the website

We cannot vouch for these products, but we are both very interested in trying them in the future and are sure their quality matches the rest of what EFL has to offer.

The One Big Thing EFL is Missing

Ok, so the products are amazing quality, but there are some things lacking that could be worked on to make EFL more successful.

One thing that we feel EFL is really missing is more education about the correct ways to utilize some of these products. We've seen that people are joining EFL with no prior knowledge of raw food or superfoods. Now all of the sudden they are buying cacao and goji berries and they have no idea what to do with them! For us, Elements for Life is another superfood superstore that carries some of the highest quality superfoods around. For other people they are completely newbies who need guidance. If Elements for Life is going to succeed, they need to help those newcomers with real education on what superfoods are and how to use them in their everyday lives.

Goji berries and cacao nibs are an easy sell, but getting someone educated about the rest of the products may take some convincing. Superfoods are only as effective as your ability to use them intelligently.

What would the average person do with cordyceps, blue-green algae, and maca? Of course, if they are familiar with making smoothies on a daily basis, no problem, but just throwing these in water and downing them is, let's just say, less than fun.

However, this is an excellent opportunity for EFL and their distributors to find new and innovative ways to educate their potential customers about these products. Create some recipes, give out smoothies at EFL parties, etc. Teaching people to effectively use these powerful products is going to be the lifeblood of this company.

We will see in the coming months and years as EFL and their distributors mature, there will be more and more information, recipes, and different ways to take these specific superfoods for optimal results.

How Does RFRN Fit Into All of This?

To make this review as honest and with as much integrity as possible, we have chosen not to sign up with EFL as distributors right now. If you are interested in finding out more, we recommend working with the man who introduced us to the positive side of EFL: Liran Hirschkorn.

Liran's (pronouced Li-RAN) passion and commitment to these products is unbounded. The best part about Liran, is his passion shines through in a completely positive, non-pushy manner. Liran is just as happy to get to know you no matter if you are interested in Elements for Life or not. He's just there to share his knowledge and experience with these products for those who are interested.

Contact Liran here if you think EFL may be a good fit for you:

Will we eventually sign up? Probably. We want to offer all options to those who are into this incredible new way of living. If/when we decide to sign up we'll let you know. Maybe we can host some informational parties so we can educate people on how to use these superfoods properly, because we'd hate to see people wasting delicious superfoods! Besides, Heidi wants to see the reaction on people's faces when they try Island Fire for the first time!

Elements For Life is Not the Only One Out There

We also have many other options to share that have different pros and cons than EFL. Expect reviews on these other stores and superfood sources very soon. Just know that there are now many, many places to buy superfoods, but Elements for Life is truly a great resource for the right person.

As always, we want to offer our readers the very best of what this community has to offer, in whatever source it comes from, with honesty, integrity, and complete joy.

P.S. On another note, one of our other favorite EFL distributors is Lenette over at Go Raw Chicago.
